Modul 1
REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH
In this module, you will learn what sexuality is, what is meant by physical and emotional maturity, what should be taken into account when choosing a partner, as well as what are all the potential fears that may arise when entering into intimate relationships. The concept of contraception is covered in detail, as are most of the available contraceptive methods.
The World Health Organization defines reproductive health as a state of physical, mental and social well-being in all areas related to the reproductive system, at all stages of life. It implies that people are able to have a satisfying and safe sex life and the ability to have offspring, as well as the freedom to decide whether, when and how often to have them. An integral part of reproductive health is the right of men and women to be informed, to have access to safe, effective, available and acceptable family planning methods of their choice, as well as the right to adequate health care services that enable a woman to have a safe pregnancy and childbirth.
