EDUCATION

Reproduction health

In this module you will learn what sexuality is, what is considered under terms physical and emotional maturity, what should you take into account when choosing partners, and what are the common fears that can occur during intimate relationships. We thoroughly explained the term of contraception and the most of the available means of contraception.

Reproductive health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, in all matters relating to the reproductive system and to its functions and processes. Reproductive health implies that people are able to have a satisfying and safe sex life and that they have the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when and how often to do so. An integral part of reproductive health is a right of man and women to be well informed and have access to safe, efficient, available and acceptable means for family planning according to their own choices as well as the right to adequate health protection services that provide safety during pregnancy and labour to women.

Potential risks and prevention

In this module you will find out which sexually transmitted diseases are there, how we can diagnose ourselves, how important is to go to regular examinations. You will also learn what is the right time for the first visit to a gynaecologist and urologist, and what the exam looks like. We also explained the manner of communication and reaction in case of unwanted pregnancy and providing support in this situation.

The purpose of reproductive health is improvement of quality of life and personal relations, not only advising and protection regarding reproduction and sexually transmitted diseases.

Support systems

In one part of this module, we focused on general support systems when it comes to reproductive health, while in the other part we considered the issues of fertility and the types of support available in this field.

Reproductive health protection is a set of methods, techniques and services that contribute to reproductive health and wellbeing by prevention and resolution of reproductive health issues. This entails all types of advising, education, health services etc.
